I am a graphic designer born in 1989 whose strength lies in visual expression. Depiction of animals and nature with a pinch of old magic is my specialty. I create my illustrations most commonly traditionally with watercolor, gouache, soft pastels and colored pencils, or as a mixed media with a touch of digital painting.
My home is in Rovaniemi, Finland, while my roots stretch from the soil of Savo and Karelia. Northern nature with its flow of seasons and wild animals is the main source of my inspiration, and on my free time I enjoy hiking, nature photography and harvesting mushrooms and berries. The interest and love I hold towards my cultural heritage also colors my works.
